Choptank Transport renews commitment to Salisbury University's sales program

Thanks to the success of Choptank Transport’s three-year strategic partnership with Salisbury University, the company has announced its renewal commitment to support the school’s flourishing sales program.


In 2014, Choptank Transport teamed up with the Mid-Atlantic Sales & Marketing Institute(MASMI) at the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University to create a new academic program.  Under the umbrella of the Mid-Atlantic Sales and Marketing Institute (MASMI), the series of courses were specifically tailored to students interested in a career in sales. The program has been a huge success, with more than 270 students enrolled since its inception three years ago.

As a co-founder and lead sponsor, Choptank was named as the first three-year patron, establishing the program’s name as the Choptank Transport Annual Sales Program.  This week, the company renewed its commitment as the platinum sponsor of the program for another three years. As part of the sponsorship, students get access to Choptank training materials and also some get to spend a day at Choptank’s headquarters as part of their Intern-for-a-day program.

Geoff Turner sees his vision come to life at the final sales competition at the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business.

This is not only a gift to the sales program, but a gift to all businesses on the Delmarva peninsula.”
