FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRESTON, MD - Choptank Transport is pleased to announce the opening of its newest regional office in Denver,Colorado, with native Brian Carr taking the helm as Regional Office Manager.

Choptank Transport’s headquarters is located in Preston, Maryland, and in 2010 the company opened its first satellite office in Franklin,Tennessee. A year later, an Atlanta office was launched.

James Lee, Vice President of Brokerage Services & Legal Affairs, who heads up the regional office expansion, is excited about the new location.  “We have the right person driving the bus,” says Lee, “and the agricultural area of Colorado has always been a great place for shipping. Brain has over 20 years of industry knowledge and a great deal of experience on both the brokerage-sales side and the brokerage-transportation side; he is the ideal person to help grow the Choptank brand and better serve our customers in the area.”

Carr has worked for Schneider National Inc., RWI Transportation and M2 Logistics but is anxious to work for Choptank for several reasons.  With a background in mostly dry-van logistics, he has seen some great potential in the refrigerated transportation market and plans to utilize Choptank’s expertise and reputation in this area to help grow the business.

“I also really look forward to working with the people at Choptank,” comments Carr. “The energy you feel in the building is amazing.  The logistics floor is buzzing and even though everyone is really busy, they are all very nice and extremely professional.”
