PRESTON, MD - Choptank Transport is ramping up its hiring initiative. The rapidly growing, third-party logistics provider has booked more than a dozen college and university job fairs across the United States between September and early November of this year.  Named as a Top Workplace in 2014 by The Washington Post, Choptank is looking for ideal candidates to help expand its new offices.

Choptank is recruiting for sales and logistics positions for each of its 6 current locations, with additional offices in the planning stages. “The colleges we are working with this year are the best places to connect with top talent,” says Pam Hutchinson, director of human resources at Choptank Transport. “Logistics is a hot career for new graduates and our company is well equipped to groom new grads into outstanding sales professionals.”

Sydnee Yeary, Choptank Transport’s corporate recruiter, has focused her efforts most recently on regional job fairs in the Maryland and Delaware area, seeking qualified candidates for the corporate headquarters in Preston, Maryland, but things are changing. “Meeting candidates face-to-face for our outside offices is important. It gives us the opportunity to fully explain the benefits of working in our industry and for a company like Choptank. ”
