Choptank Transport Hosts Chinese Delegation

Choptank Transport was one of several stops on theU.S.agenda for a group of 20 members of the China International Talent Exchange Foundation (CITEF) on Thursday, December 06, 2012.  

“It was an honor to host the delegation from CITEF,” said Geoff Turner, President and CEO of Choptank Transport. “It is important for us to collaborate with our counterparts around the world, especially our country’s largest trading partner.”

The delegation, composed of third-party logistics companies (like Choptank Transport), educators and association staff, were here to learn how U.S.businesses utilize technology to be more competitive and improve efficiencies, as well as to understand the difference between U.S.government regulations versus shippers requirements.  The visitors were also interested in learning how the role of education and certifications affect companies like Choptank Transport.
