Comptroller Peter Franchot visited two longtime Caroline County businesses Monday to commend them for their fiscal contributions to local and state economies, and their philanthropic contributions to their communities.

"The state is always on the hunt for initiatives to get new businesses started, and while I hope those take hold and are successful, I don't think we appreciate and recognize existing businesses enough," Franchot said. Read Full Story
