Adshead is the first high school student hired at Choptank through Youth Apprenticeship - Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Program (MATP), a Department of Labor initiative that requires employers to apply and receive state approval. Choptank was approved on January 15, 2020, and hired its first apprentice on January 24, 2020.

Bergling joined Choptank in 2013 after graduating from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems. In the seven years at Choptank, Bergling and his team have migrated the sales staff from a well-known CRM system to an in-house, customized and proprietary CRM, developed from the ground up and tailored specifically to the company’s needs.
